Boerne, Texas (pronounced "Bernie") is a small Hill Country town 30 miles northwest of San Antonio on IH-10 and Highway 46. The July 2009 Census estimate showed a population of 10,639.
About
Founded in 1852 by German settlers, Boerne is the county seat of Kendall County and is home to the second oldest courthouse in the state. It is a quaint town that has become a tourist destination and a weekend getaway. Historic downtown runs along Cibolo Creek and is lined with shops offering eclectic and antique shopping.
The City of Fair Oaks Ranch evolved from several segments of land acquired by Ralph Fair, Sr., an oil man, during the 1930s. The land was a working ranch before development of the residential community in 1975. In 1978, the family's 14,000 square foot home became the neighborhood's country club.
Schools
In Summer 2010, Boerne Independent School District received the highest possible state rating of "Exemplary" for its student achievement results.
If you are looking to sell your home I recommend Cassidy Olivares. She listed and sold my father’s home. We had 3 offers within 3 days! She helped me every step of the way. I recommended her to my son and his wife. She sold their home as well and found them the perfect home. She’s awesome!

Jenny Heyman and CORIE Properties were excellent during and long after the purchase of our home. Jenny was understanding of our needs and patient in our pursuit. She helped us negotiate a fair price and provided her expertise and industry contacts. Long after the purchase of our new home, she remains in contact with us on a regular basis.
I also appreciated the year end tax prep documents that CORIE Properties sent over which included details on the closing costs and reminder about the homestead exemption.
I would highly recommend Jenny Heyman and CORIE Properties!
